Apply First Aid Course
This Course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response as well as basic life support and management of the casualty, the incident and other first aid providers until medical or other assistance arrive.
*NB: This First Aid Course requires a pre-workbook to be completed and handed in to the instructor on the day of the course. The booklet can be located by clicking on the Apply First Aid Assessment Booklet link on the bottom left hand side of the home page of PulseStart website (www.pulsestart.com.au) Print the booklet out to complete. CPR Refresher Course
The CPR Refresher course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR.
* NB: The CPR course IS included when you book a First Aid Course with PulseStart; as a result you just need to book a First Aid course if you wish to have both (First Aid and CPR) certificates.

Insight Movement Training Centre - Comprehensive Pilates Instructor Training Course
This ESSA accredited comprehensive course for EP’s is designed to provide the successful graduate with a complete and thorough understanding of the Pilates Method fundamentals. The Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA), the industries professional certifying body, accredits this course and successful completion of all components will make available to the graduate, a direct pathway to membership of the association.
The course is conducted on a part time basis each year and is presented in the format of 8 modules. The program of study involving lectures and practical components will apply current research in movement studies, biomechanics and motor re-learning to provide a basis for effective problem solving and instructional practice of the Method to both healthy and post acute rehabilitative clientele. It will provide an ability to deliver an appropriate program of exercise prescription utilising a broad knowledge of repertory from the pre-Pilates, traditional Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac (Trapeze Table), Wunda Chair and other small Pilates apparatus.

With food labelling firmly on the national agenda it is expected the ‘Food Labelling Law & Policy Review’ currently underway will play an important role for both consumers & industry in Australia. What can other countries tell us about the role of food labelling and how can these insights be used to gain a better understanding of the function of food labels?
Join this free webinar to hear from Professor Klaus Grunert who will present the findings from the European Food Information Council’s (EUFIC) Review of research conducted in 2003–2006 in the EU-15 countries on how consumers perceive, understand, like and use nutrition information on food labels. Providing a local industry perspective will be Dr Geoffrey Annison, Deputy Chief Executive of the Australian Food & Grocery Council (AFGC).
About the Speakers:
Professor Klaus Grunert is the founder and director of the MAPP Center for Research on Customer Relations in the Food Sector. He has undertaken extensive research in the area of consumer behaviour with regards to food including quality perception, food choice and healthy eating. He is the author of 12 books, 110 academic papers in international refereed journals and numerous other publications.
Dr Geoffrey Annison is the CEO of the Australian Food & Grocery Council and has previously worked for food companies, rural companies, universities and the CSIRO. He has an extensive knowledge of current agri-food industry issues, particularly in the technical, nutrition and health areas.

This series of courses is designed to give the practitioner an expanded exercise repertoire using Pilates equipment, mainly the Reformer and Trapeze table utilising the principles of Pilates. The addition of instability and a variable resistance greatly increases core musculature recruitment and challenge and opens up a whole new range of possible exercises in challenging, specific, and safe applications. Heartmoves for People with Multiple Sclerosis
Heartmoves is a low to moderate intensity physical activity program open to everyone and specifically designed to cater for people with lifestyle risk factors or with existing stable chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, respiratory conditions, arthritis etc. The Heart Foundation Heartmoves Program is committed to developing ongoing education opportunities for exercise professionals who have previously completed the Heartmoves training.
The Heart Foundation Heartmoves Program and Multiple Sclerosis Australia have collaborated to develop a re-accreditation module for existing Heartmoves Leaders. This module is designed to give Heartmoves leaders the knowledge, confidence, skills and resources to safely and effectively deliver and adapt existing Heartmoves programs for people with MS.
