As at 17 February 2009 the Deakin 3 year course - Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science offered through the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Burwood Campus, Victoria is fully accredited at the level of Exercise Science. This accreditation status applies to its incoming first year cohort, therefore automatic membership of ESSA does not come into effect until its incoming first year cohort has completed their studies – end of 2011
University of Western Australia
Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health)
As at 1 January 2010 the UWA three year course – the Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Health) is fully accredited. This accreditation status applies to its incoming second year cohort. Therefore the first cohort of students to be eligible for automatic ESSA membership is the cohort who will be completing their studies at the end of 2011.
Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Exercise Science)
As at 31 January 2010 the three year course - the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Exercise Science) is fully accredited. This accreditation applies to its current 2010 second year cohort. Therefore the first students eligible for ESSA membership is the cohort who will be completing their studies at the end of 2011.

Therefore the first cohort of students to be eligible for automatic ESSA membership and exercise physiology accreditation is the cohort who will be completing their studies at the end of 2010.
