Important Information: NUCAP or NON NUCAP form options
There are a number of universities in Australia who offer accredited courses that meet the ESSA criteria, under our National University Course Accreditation Program (NUCAP).
If applying for accreditation as an accredited exercise physiologist in 2013 there are 2 application forms to choose from. Please ensure you complete the correct application form. Choose the Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) Application Form – NUCAP if you have completed a NUCAP accredited exercise physiology course within the last 2 years. Choose the Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) Application Form – NON NUCAP if you have not completed a NUCAP accredited exercise physiology course, or if you completed a NUCAP accredited exercise physiology course over 2 years ago.
If applying for exercise science/full membership in 2013 there are 2 application forms to choose from. Please ensure you complete the correct application form. Choose the Exercise Science/Full Membership Application Form – NUCAP if you have completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course within the last 2 years. Choose the Exercise Science/Full Membership Application Form – NON NUCAP if you have not completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course, or if you completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course over 2 years ago.

Choose the Graduate Entry Membership Application Form – NUCAP if you have completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course within the last 2 years. Choose the Graduate Entry Membership Application Form – NON NUCAP if you have not completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course, or if you completed a NUCAP accredited exercise science course over 2 years ago.

Accreditation
To gain accreditation as an exercise physiologist or sports scientist you are required to have exercise science (full) membership.

Exercise physiology
Applicants for ESSA AEP must submit clinical placement logbooks for all hours completed after 1 January 2008 for each of the following three areas:
- apparently healthy;
- cardiopulmonary/metabolic; and
- musculoskeletal/ neurological.
Logbooks are optional for hours completed before 1 January 2008.
