ESSA is inviting all interested members to an open networking forum. The purpose of the forum is:

  • To identify the main issues facing members currently working in the Occupational Rehabilitation (OR) field (as a Case Manager, Rehabilitation Provider or Service Provider).
  • To compare the scope of practice between states.
  • To discuss and suggest initiatives to establish equity for members (in terms of remuneration, competencies and scope of practice).
  • To discuss the development of an ESSA OR working group in 2012.

ESSA understands the growing employment opportunities the OR setting offers members.  The establishment of an ESSA OR working group will function to support members working in the field, address issues and initiatives at a National level, and work towards ensuring equity and consistency for all members across the nation.

The forum will also provide opportunities for interested members to network informally.

To register your attendance or for any further details, please contact Louise Czosnek (louise.czosnek@essa.org.au), Industry Development Officer, ESSA.  Please include the following information in your reply:

  1. Name
  2. Contact details and State you reside in
  3. Your current involvement/experience in the OR field
  4. 3 primary issues you currently face  working in the OR field
  5. Once established, what are the 3 primary tasks you would like the OR working group to address
