ESSA and Nike Think Tank Recording - Episode 2: The Adolescent Athlete 

ESSA and Nike Running are delighted to introduce the second episode of the “2021 Think Tank Series”. This event will bring together leading minds from the performance support disciplines to discuss training and preparation of The Adolescent Athlete. The experts cover themes around performance mindset, athletic development and coaching, at both a professional and amateur level of performance.

Lydia O'Donnell: Nike Pacific Head Running Coach

Georgia Ridler:
Georgia Ridler is a Sport Psychologist and High-Performance Consultant with over 20 years experience supporting high performers in sport and business to realise their potential and perform at their peak. She has worked with Junior Elite Athletes through to Olympians, and High Performance Leaders through to Executives, assisting them to perform under pressure. Georgia is currently the Lead Psychologist for the Australian Olympic Team for Tokyo 2021 and has previously worked with the Australian Swim Team, the Australian Cycling Team and the Australian Women’s Water Polo team to enhance team culture and peak performance. Georgia’s formula for peak performance is in finding the personalised intersection between performance demands, environmental allies and wellbeing support.

Nick Grantham: 
Nick is a performance enhancement specialist. His career spans four Olympic cycles and he is a founding member of the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association and an accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC). He has become recognised as a specialist in athletic preparation and has a wealth of knowledge in the physical preparation of high performance athletes at the most elite levels; including professional sport, Olympic, Commonwealth, European, and World Championship standards. He continues to develop his knowledge of advanced training concepts and evidence based training principles. A sought after ‘expert’ he has presented seminars and practical workshops for the Football Association, BASEM, British Olympic Association and UK Strength & Conditioning Association.
