COVID-19 Exercise Guidelines Webinar

COVID-19 Exercise Guidelines Webinar

Guidelines have recently been developed in collaboration with ESSA titled, COVID-19 Exercise Guidelines. This webinar will provide an overview of recommendations provided within the guidelines, including recommendations for:
When and how to introduce exercise following COVID-19 infection.
How to safely progress exercise following re-introduction.
Commencement and progression of physical activity in different settings (community, medically managed care facilities, hospital).
Exercise and non-exercise assessments of health and function to inform exercise prescription and/or evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention.
Adapting or modifying exercise programmes based on the presence of common, problematic symptoms.
When to refer to other healthcare professionals.

The guidelines and this webinar aim to provide exercise professionals, including accredited exercise physiologists, exercise scientists and sport scientists, the necessary knowledge to provide best-practice exercise advice and care for people across the COVID-19 clinical course.
