Understanding Workers Compensation NSW Workshop
It is a requirement of any accredited exercise physiologist to be up to date with current SIRA (NSW) legislation and guidelines. This workshop will aim to improve awareness of the issues experienced as a treatment provider and discuss how to combine knowledge of the framework with the best evidence in treatment of injuries and conditions.
Presented by David Parkinson, B, HMS, M, Clin Ex Phys
David’s professional development has included over 15 years experience in both Occupation Rehabilitation and Injury Rehabiliation. David has worked with Transport NSW for 6 years in roles including: Injury Management Advisor and Senior Case Manager. From 2017 - 2020, he has worked with Relaunch, a Health Solutions organisation as the National Recover at Work Coordinator (NSW/QLD). He is also concurrently working in private practice at DP Health Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology with a focus on soft tissue and mental health rehabilitation.
David has completed a Bachelor of Science, Human Movement (SCU) and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (ACU) and continues to advance his learning with his current study, Graduate Diploma of Psychology (JCU).
