Current opportunities

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

This role is permanent, on a full-time basis.

About the role

A typical day would include:

  • Developing an Event Marketing plan and schedule and for example, promoting webinars, face to face events and conferences
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create branded materials and collateral
  • Maintaining the partnerships CRM to ensure that it is accurate and up to date
  • Writing content for key communications activities including socials, newsletters and videos
  • Monitoring and responding to members and prospects engaging with ESSA via social channels
  • Supporting the Creative Lead and acting as a guardian for ESSA house of brands

About you

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms
  • Proven success in promoting and marketing events
  • Amazing communication skills for both the ESSA team and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing / communications or similar

Bonus points for:

  • Previously working for a NFP or membership association
  • Experience with content creation, content production and copywriting
  • Previous experience using Monday Work Management or similar
  • Basic design skills
  • Working knowledge of Simply Stakeholders or similar CRM

Regulations Officer

Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.

About the role

A typical day would include:

  • Administering regulation compliance management programs
  • Supporting individuals to place accreditation on hold, and helping them ensure currency when they are ready to regain accreditation
  • Overseeing and managing the annual accreditation audit of ESSA accredited professionals
  • Establishing and maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders including staff, accredited professionals and external regulatory bodies
  • Maintaining regulations records for ESSA and regulatory bodies
  • Supporting the development and review of regulations procedures, forms and resources

About you

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Excellent organisational, administrative & communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and autonomously as required

  • Experience in a member-based or not-for-profit organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in Exercise & Sports Science
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance or accreditation processes

Applications Officer

This role is permanent, on a full-time basis.

About the role

A typical day would include:

  • Collating, reviewing and tracking all incoming applications for an ESSA accreditation
  • Processing and screening applications for assessment including certified documentation
  • Providing advice and guidance on application processes and eligibility to prospective applicants and ESSA staff members
  • Communicating effectively and efficiently with applicants, including timely advice of application outcomes
  • Supporting development of educational and information resources for applicants
  • Responding to external queries redirecting technical requests to appropriate team members
  • Supporting the development and review of accreditation application documentation

About you

We are keen to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in customer service and office administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational & administrative skills

This role is permanent, on a full-time basis.

About the role 

  • Providing the 'first point of contact’ customer service to our customers and members
  • Process membership applications and updating records for our members
  • Support our Member Care team in processing incoming and outgoing emails and calls

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A clear and professional telephone manner
  • Experience in customer service and administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel and experience with iMis
  • Ability to multi-task and efficient time management
