Exercise Oncology at ECU
‘Exercise Oncology at ECU’ is a professional development course for exercise physiologists who work with cancer patients and survivors. This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for people with cancer. The course also provides critical information required for allied health professionals to provide effective advice about the role of exercise in the management of cancer.
The course comprises of two components, a suite of theoretical modules completed online and a one day practical workshop.
Presented by Mr Kyle Smith (AEP, ESSAM):
Kyle has specialised in Exercise Physiology and Exercise Oncology since 2005. Kyle coordinates, through a team of exercise physiologists, all of the research trials and commercial programs offered by Exercise Medicine Research Institute (EMRI) at Edith Cowan University.
Kyle has been recognised as an expert in this field by being nominated to review resources by Cancer Council Victoria and Cancer Council New South Wales.
