Fundamentals of Kettlebell Training
The structure of the workshop is designed so that delegates will learn the fundamental components of kettlebell training. The exercises taught in this course will enable AEPs and AES to diversify their exercise prescription modalities and offer their clients and patients an alternative form of both cardiovascular and strength training exercise. Finally, the importance of breathing, tension/relaxation and biomechanical considerations involved in executing kettlebell exercises, which will be learnt in a fun, challenging and safe environment.
The practical knowledge gained in this Kettlebell fundamentals course will qualify delegates in the development and skill acquisition required to successfully teach the basics of kettlebell training to clientele. In addition, this course lays the foundation for the development of more advanced kettlebell exercises and other forms of non-traditional resistance training equipment, such as fitballs, battling ropes and sandbags, that can be suitably adapted and applied in a clinical environment.

Luke currently resides in the Gold Coast with his family. Luke successfully completed a PhD which investigated the effects of concurrent sprint and resistance training on both health and performance outcomes in veteran male cyclists. As a result, Luke has published 25 peer-reviewed journals.
Luke divides his time between his role as the professional experience coordinator at Southern Cross University and as the continuing education development manager for Functional Training Institute and head sports scientist at Australian Combat and Exercise.
