Stick Mobility Level One - Part A

Course outline:
Introduction to Stick Mobility principles:
Proprioception - feedback and co-ordination
Irradiation - recruitment of neighbouring muscles
Isometric strength
Instruction, demonstration and practice of exercises – joint mobilising, isolated strengthening, fascial mobilisation and combinations of the above
Introduction to the concept of partner exercises
Run through of 2 x 1 hour Stick Mobility class examples for those who wish to run Group Exercise sessions
Practice teaching Stick Mobility exercises to fellow attendees

The Stick Mobility course is a physical course and the majority of the two days are spent doing practical exercises.  Attendees can work at their own pace so it is suitable for all fitness levels.  Following the course, the attendees should be competent to teach Stick Mobility classes or incorporate the Stick Mobility principles and exercises working 1:1 with individual patients/clients.

1. Stick Mobility Manual
2. PDF copy of the course presentation
3. Access to the entire online video library consisting of in excess of more than 150 online instructional videos
4. Certificate of completion
5. OPTIONAL - bundle of 3 sticks if selected at time of registration

Book at the same time as your colleague who you work with at the clinic, studio or gym and save on the course only registration cost.
If two people register together - you each save 10% ($50) 
If three people register together - you each save 15% ($75) 
If four people register together - you each save 20% ($100)

Presented by Steven Stahl, Louise O’Sullivan, Amanda See:
Steve Stahl: Steve is a Sports Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience.  He works in the clinic Monday- Thursday and then runs courses for RockTape and Stick Mobility on the weekends.  Steve is passionate about health and keen to improve the quality and quantity of movement of his patients and the general population.  Steve is a keen runner and surfer and regularly treats these athletes, finding the Stick Mobility system a perfect addition to his treatment regime.

Louise O’Sullivan: Louise is a Physiotherapist who has worked with musculoskeletal and sports injuries since 2007 and has found the Stick Mobility techniques to be an exciting addition to add to her toolbox. Louise draws from her teaching experience in Yoga, Clinical Pilates and Kinetic Link Functional Strength and Conditioning to create a fun yet comprehensive Stick Mobility experience. Louise is a passionate health professional and if she is not assessing, treating or teaching movement she is doing movement. In her spare time you will find her running around the Brisbane river, doing CrossFit or enjoying a yoga class.

Amanda See: Amanda is a qualified Personal Trainer with over 12 years experience. She currently manages a boutique gym in the CBD, while teaching Stick Mobility courses and fitness qualifications.  Amanda is passionate about educating people on injury prevention strategies and helping them take advantage of scientific principles to maximise their training sessions. She often uses the Stick Mobility system with clients, staff and during practical education units, and has found it to be a great addition to her own training regime.
