The Tensegrity Training Integrated 52625WA Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology is a nationally recognised qualification (and includes the pre-requisite 52728WA Certificate IV in Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology) allowing you to specialise in your area of interest and become an expert Pilates practitioner with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

This program equips graduates with the skills required to develop into an exceptional Exercise Science professional utilising additional skills in Pilates.

The Tensegrity Training Integrated52625WA Diploma of Contemporary Pilates and Teaching Methodology includes a series of workshops and access to online essential knowledge to learn in detail the Pilates repertoire as well as modifications, progressions, teaching skills, cueing, program development and safety for both Matwork and Equipment. The course provides you with exercise prescription skills, teaching techniques, movement analysis and enhances your existing postural assessment skills.

Our Integrated Diploma course will equip you to successfully integrate Pilates into your existing practice, allowing you to make adaptations to meet the special needs that arise in the health industry, including pregnancy, rehabilitation and movement therapy.  Our course covers all aspects of Reformer, Wunda Chair, Cadillac and small apparatus repertoire.

Upon successful completion of the qualification, you will have the option of becoming a member of the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA), the peak industry body for Pilates in Australia.

Tracey Nicholson is a Pilates practitioner and Somatic Movement Therapist with extensive experience in education and rehabilitation together with a dance performance background.  She has worked as a Movement Educator for the past 30 years and has a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. As a Movement Therapist she has worked in areas of mental health, rehabilitation and special education.

Tracey has presented at Conferences in Australia, USA and Israel on Movement Based Somatic Therapy and Pilates.  More recently, she has presented on the benefits of movement sequencing & dance in education for students presenting with behavioural problems.

Tracey has a passion for generating within people a love of moving their bodies. She has been a member of the APMA since 2000 and held positions as Chair of the Education Committee and RTO Committee as well as being a member of the Executive Council.  She has owned and directed her own Pilates Studio for 12 years.

Tracey is now the executive director of Tensegrity Training – a Registered Training Organisation (# 60182) that offers Nationally Accredited Certificate IV & Diploma training in Pilates and a Graduate Certificate in Movement Based Somatic Therapy.

In addition to her national role as educator, Tracey operates a movement therapy centre on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland – Tensegrity Studio, which uses aspects of the Pilates Method, Garuda, Somatics, Developmental Movement and Laban Movement Analysis with clients of all ages and levels.

Anita is a director of Lifestyle Pilates and Rehabilitation Studio Pty Ltd, is an ESSA Exercise Physiologist and Level 4 Pilates Practitioner (APMA) where her main task is exercise prescription for musculoskeletal rehabilitation using the Pilates Method. 

Anita has previously lectured part-time with NSW TAFE Health and Recreation Department where she lectured in TVET Cert II and III in Fitness and the Diploma in Fitness. 

Anita’s goal as an allied health professional is to educate clients on the correct movement patterns to avoid injuries and to manage their existing injuries to have the best quality of life possible. Also to educate other health professionals on how to do the same.

As the Director of ProActive Rehabilitation and Health Pty Ltd, an ESSA Exercise Physiologist and practicing as a Pilates Rehabilitation Specialist, Marks work involves exercise prescription for musculoskeletal rehabilitation of injured and special needs clients, including clients from a broad range of backgrounds including; Workers Compensation, CTP claims, DVA, Medicare, Private Health, NDIA, Diabetes, disabilities, stroke and brain injuries.

Mark has extensive experience in allied health education, lecturing in Fitness, Rehabilitation and Pilates as well as providing supervision for 3rd and 4th year Exercise Science and Physiology students and is currently writing a Lumbar Spine Rehabilitation course explaining the methodology for appropriate rehabilitation guidelines for Exercise Physiologists

Mark’s goal as an allied health professional is to educate clients on the effective management of their current pain and to improve their quality of life through efficient movement patterns and a re-education of movement. His goal for the future is to educate other practitioners on how to utilize these principles for effective treatment.

As qualified Exercise Science graduates, ESSA members are exempt from certain components of the course, due to an existing qualification in Exercise Science.  Exemptions apply to aspects of anatomy and physiology and client assessment.
