This course is aimed to develop competency in managing and improving lumbar spine and SIJ related pain. This two day interactive workshop takes a pain science approach in addition to a mechanical assessment to differentiate between various presenting conditions. This methodical course will give you the skills to work with even the most complex presentations whether it be acute or chronic. It will expose you to different schema and approaches and allow you to utilise your current knowledge better and execute meaningful treatment plans with immediate changes in client symptoms, beliefs and an improvement in prophylaxis.
This course will expose you to Mckenzie MDT mechanical assessment techniques, Peter O’Sullivan’s models of back pain with a cognitive functional approach and develop a framework to problem solve complex presentations. After this course there will be no more guessing, wasting of time or anxiety around dealing with back pain.
This course will cover the ability to work with; radiculopathies including sciatica; connective tissue conditions; spondylolisthesis; ankylosing spondylitis, non-specific low back pain and more.

Brendan Mouatt is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Director of The Biomechanics Health Management situated in Footscray, Melbourne. His clinical practice has led to specialisation in musculoskeletal therapies, pain science, and specifically, spinal based therapies as a Credentialed Mckenzie MDT Therapist. Brendan is also qualified in manual therapies including dry needling & massage, and has a Diploma of Clinical Pilates. He currently teaches at Victoria University and treats clinically full time.
Luke is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and also director of The Biomechanics Health Management. Luke has also completed training in Mckenzie spinal therapy as well as numerous other qualifications in dry needling, massage & strength and conditioning. Luke teaches the Diploma of Clinical Pilates at Breathe Education and has taught for numerous years at Victoria University. He currently treats clinically full time.
