This Course encompasses a brief history of Pilates, the principles of Pilates, comparison of physiotherapy research into back pain and core control and Pilates. The extensive exercise repertoire in this course covers early rehabilitative exercises to intermediate exercises. There are over 100 exercises, including modifications that counter for limitations and differing difficulties throughout the repertoire. The course has a strong practical component culminating in the design and implementation of Pilates Matwork routine/program allowing you to return to the workplace with confidence and instruct your own Matwork classes.
Jenny is the director of The Pilates Institute of Queensland that conducts Pilates training courses for physiotherapists. She has been working with Pilates for over 20 years and has operated and owned studies for over 18 years.
Jenny has worked with dancers and athletes for over 20 years with on of her practices being located in a full time dance school. Her clientele includes complex back rehabilitation patients as well as junior elite swimmers, ice skaters, sailors, rowers, tennis/rugby/soccer/netball players. Jenny also practices with older clientele concerned about their mobility, balance and overall wellness.
Jenny has many sporting interests including ice skating, dressage riding, scuba diving, soccer, touch football and currently outrigger canoeing.
