Upon completion of our course you will develop your skills and be able to understand:
During the course we will explore exercise prescription for an uncomplicated pregnancy and highlight post partum considerations specialising in the separation of the abdominals (diastasis rectus) where you will learn how to assess and rehabilitate. Furthermore you will briefly discuss and understand what happens when pregnancy results in a miscarriage.
Your female clients will appreciate your knowledge and practical skills learnt in our exercise and maternal health course.
Mia J Kacen is an accredited exercise physiologist with a passion for health education. Having attained a Bachelor Degree in Health and Exercise Science with honours from the University of New South Wales, Mia then went on to complete a Masters in International Public Health from Sydney University, followed by a working internship at the World Health Organisation In 2011. In 2011, Mia was awarded with Exercise Physiologist of the Year. Mia is recognised as a pioneer and charismatic leader in her industry and is the NSW State Chapter Chair for Exercise & Sports Science Australia.
