It is essential that health professionals are both clinically competent and culturally responsive in order to positively affect the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities. Indigenous Allied Health Australia, a national not for profit, member-based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health organisation, is pleased to provide participants with an introduction to ways of knowing, being and doing that can enhance their practice and ability to take culturally responsive action to building cultural safety.
This podcast will be based upon ‘Cultural responsiveness in Action: An IAHA Framework’ and introduce participants to 6 key capabilities that can lead to culturally safe and responsive practice.
The recording is of a webinar presented by ESSA on 2 November 2015.
