Changing Team Culture on Reporting and Monitoring Webinar

Australia produces some of the world’s best cricketers. Cricket as a sport in Australia spans across 3 varying formats. With the Australian public’s expectations that its team is number 1 in the world, scrutiny and public opinion is not in shortage.

This professional development will give background on the how’s and why’s of Cricket Australia’s athlete monitoring strategies, lessons learnt, innovations and finally how the culture of adherence and buy in to its athlete monitoring strategies. Uniquely, cricketers are required to perform across 3 varying formats each with different load and intensity demands. Further to this, elite performers are often required to play for upwards of four different professional teams across the year; increasing the complexities in player workload management and other sports science-related support. The challenges faced in the management of cricketers has led to Cricket Australia pioneering methods of athlete monitoring. This involves the use or both routine and customized monitoring tools embedded into a robust and holistic athlete monitoring system.
