Have you ever wondered if people with schizophrenia are less intelligent that others? Or whether depression is a permanent condition?
This podcast will provide you with an opportunity to test your knowledge about mental illness in an interactive process. People with mental illness often have very poor physical health and those with long standing illness can have a shortened life expectancy of 25+ years due to metabolic syndrome and associated illnesses. Exercise physiologists are being increasing called upon to work with people with mental illness. Working with these clients can save both lives and years of illness.
It is timely for you to engage with this client group and this webinar will give you a good start in assessing your own knowledge as well as providing you with some basic information.
The recording is of a webinar presented by ESSA on 30 July 2014.
