Navigating the Grey Zone Podcast

This presentation provides a rational for EP’s to engage in the treatment of patients with persisting pain. It explains the complexity of pain and the difficulties facing clinicians working in this area. It also gives an overview of the broader declarative knowledge required for clinicians to implement patient specific evidence based treatments which will increase the likelihood of successful rehabilitation outcomes. It discusses key concepts such as a bio-psycho-social pain management treatment model and the initial assessment. The approach and the clinical practices commonly used in a 10 week bio-psycho-social pain management treatment approach for a patient with persisting pain is explored.

This recording was made from a webinar presented by ESSA on 29 August 2013.
