Set for Success: Sports Science Breakfast - Optimising Female Performance


Join us for a morning full of action! Start with a coffee and enjoy networking with you peers from across the Sports Science disciplines and related areas. Enjoy a yoghurt and muesli cup, a danish or some fresh fruit whilst hearing from our expert panellists. Before the breakfast finishes, jump on a round table and discuss a topic with a panellist.

My current role is Physical Preparation Manager at the Victorian Institute of Sport. I manage the team of S&C coaches at the VIS. I also maintain an active coaching role with Winter Sports including Snowboarding and Aerial Skiing. Prior to this I have worked in strength and conditioning roles in Olympic and professional sport including the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA), Adelaide Crows Football Club, Essendon Football Club and the South Australian Sports Institute (SASI). I am an accredited Sport Scientist Level 2 (ESSA) and Strength and Conditioning Coach (Elite – Level 3 ASCA)

and Jemima Montag, Olympian and dual Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist

Jemima Montag is an Olympian, dual Commonwealth Games gold medallist (2018, 2022), and Australian record holder in the 20km racewalk. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and is now undertaking the Doctor of Medicine. Passionate about inclusivity for women and girls in sport and physical activity, Jemima has used her platform as an International Olympic Committee Young Leader 2021-2024 to found ‘Girls Play On’ - changing the game for girls both in and through sport.
