ESSA Engaging with Policy and Decision Makers Recording

This session aims to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to engage effectively with Policy and Decision Makers. The focus in this learning activity is on engaging Members of Parliament, however the principles apply to engaging with policy and decision makers at other levels of government and with organisations that may be allied with ESSA on an issue. Allied organisations may be other health professional organisations or patient organisations.

By the end of this session, you will know how to:
- arrange a meeting with your local MP
- prepare for the meeting including profiling of your local MP
- communicate in a meeting, presenting the issue and solution, making an ‘ask’ for action
- access support from ESSA with resources and guidance

This is a recording of the Engaging with Policy and Decision Makers Session presented on 15 March 2021.

Presented by Mrs Judy Powell, ESSA Policy and Advocacy Advisor with participation from ESSA members, Joseph Squadrito, Tania Bojanac and Rod Farrell
