What is PD+?
PD+ is an online learning platform designed to enable exercise professionals’ access to a broad range of CPD resources offering a premium CPD experience. PD+ is an annual subscription offered to all member types.
How much does it cost?
Members: $350.00 incl GST per year
Non-members: $550.00 incl GST per year
Who is it for?
PD+ is available for ESSA Members and Non-Members who are Accredited Exercise Scientists, Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Accredited Sports Scientists Level 1, Accredited Sports Scientists Level 2 and/or Accredited High-Performance Managers.
ESSA members who aren’t accredited are also able to purchase PD+ to improve their knowledge and skills.
How do I join?
PD+ can be purchased at the time of renewals or via the website.
When can I join?
Subscriptions will be available for purchase from December 2023 to 31 October 2024.
What PD will I have access to?
This subscription includes access to all of our online activities* for one all-inclusive price. We will continue to add content to this throughout the year, which you will also gain access to. You will also receive discounts on virtual workshops*, webinars, and conference tickets.
*Mental Health First Aid Courses and ESSA Ongoing PD not included.
When do I get access?
Access will be from date of purchase to 11:59pm 31 December 2024.
If purchased prior to 1 January 2024, access to online learning and discounts won’t take effect until 1 January 2024.
How long does a subscription last?
From 1 January (or from date of purchase if after 1 January) to 31 December in the same calendar year. In that period, you have unlimited access to online activities and access to discount codes for other ESSA Professional Development.
I pay my membership quarterly; can I pay PD+ in instalments too?
No. To unlock the full benefits as soon as possible, PD+ is set up as a one-off annual purchase. This also simplifies purchases for employers when allocating budget for Staff Professional Development.
I am waiting on my ESSA Membership to be approved, what should I do?
Please wait until your membership is approved before registering for PD+ at the discounted member price. If you purchase PD+ before your membership is confirmed, we will not be able to issue a refund for the price difference.
Are there corporate packages available?
How can I get reimbursed for courses by my employer?
We provide a receipt for your subscription that you can show to your employer for reimbursement.
Can I cancel my subscription?
We will be sorry to see you go but you can cancel your subscription anytime.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my annual subscription?
No. PD+ is set up as a one-off annual purchase allowing members to access for the calendar year. If you have circumstances that require special consideration, please contact ESSA to discuss.
Is PD+ mandatory for ESSA Members?
No. PD+ is an optional add-on for members.
