C.A.S.E: A Multi-disciplinary Approach to ERAA Clients

A Multi-disciplinary Approach to Exercise Right for Active Ageing (ERAA) Clients

The Science of Fitness team will discuss how they have used a multi-disciplinary approach including an AES, AEP, Dietician and Physiotherapist to work with ERAA clients to improve their health and wellbeing through involvement in the grant program.

with Kieran Maguire, AES, Francesca Sills, AEP, Dorelle Thompson, APD & Jacob Lawrence, Physiotherapist

Kieran Maguire:
Kieran is an AES and director of Science Of Fitness. Kieran completed a Bachelor of Exercise Sport Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU), in 2015 and a Masters of Strength & Conditioning from ECU in 2018.

Kieran has worked in a range of exercise related rolls including elite strength and conditioning with the Western Force, Swimming Australia and regularly works privately with elite athletes.

During his time at Science OF Fitness Kieran has helped contribute to the development of the group fitness program including setting up the Fit over 50s program which is ERAA certified.

Francesca Sills: Francesca is an AEP and lead physiologist at Science of Fitness. Francesca graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from QUT 2018.

Francesca is passionate about providing high quality, educational training experiences for her clients to improve their knowledge and independence when it comes to exercise

Dorelle Thompson: Dorelle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia. She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, in 1999 and a Master of Public Health, Health Promotion, in 2013.

She has worked in public hospitals and private practices, helping clients with many different health conditions.

Her most rewarding work comes from being an accredited My Health for Life facilitator and from practising with the Non-diet approach for clients with weight concerns. It is terrific to see the positive and sustainable health benefits these programs bring to my clients.

Jacob Larewnce: Jacob graduated from the University of Queensland with 1st Class Honours.
