AES C.A.S.E: Multi-Disciplinary Approach to ERAA Clients

Hear from the Science of Fitness team as they discuss how they have used a multi-disciplinary approach including an AES, AEP, Dietician and Physiotherapist to work with Exercise Right for Active Ageing (ERAA) clients to improve their health and well-being through involvement in the ESSA grant program.

Kieran Maguire
Kieran is an AES and director of Science Of Fitness. Kieran completed a Bachelor of Exercise Sport Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU), in 2015 and a Masters of Strength & Conditioning from ECU in 2018. 
Kieran has worked in a range of exercise related rolls including elite strength and conditioning with the Western Force, Swimming Australia and regularly works privately with elite athletes.
During his time at Science OF Fitness Kieran has helped contribute to the development of the group fitness program including setting up the Fit over 50s program which is ERAA certified. 

Francesca Sills
Francesca is an AEP and lead physiologist at Science of Fitness. Francesca graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from QUT 2018. 
Francesca has independently set up the EP arm of Science Of Fitness which now services a range of clinical populations from NDIS to DVA and facilitates ERAA group sessions. 
Francesca is passionate about providing high quality, educational training experiences for her clients to improve their knowledge and independence when it comes to exercise

Dorelle Thompson
Dorelle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia. She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, in 1999 and a Master of Public Health, Health Promotion, in 2013. 
She has worked in public hospitals and private practices, helping clients with many different health conditions. 
Her most rewarding work comes from being an accredited My Health for Life facilitator and from practising with the Non-diet approach for clients with weight concerns. It is terrific to see the positive and sustainable health benefits these programs bring to my clients.

Jacob Larewnce
Jacob graduated from the University of Queensland with 1st Class Honours. Jacob has experience working with all sporting codes, with a specific interest in the rehabilitation of Rugby Union and Cricket athletes. He also enjoys working with the adolescent athlete, having recently worked for Softball Australia and Volleyball Queensland in their respective underage tournaments. Outside of Red Hill, you will find Jacob providing match day coverage for Marist College Ashgrove or treating orthopaedic inpatients at the Brisbane Private Hospital.
