Amanda Semaan and Kara Foscholo are both Accredited Exercise Physiologists who have 22 years of combined experience supporting the disability community. Their company, Active Ability, are a leading national provider of exercise physiology, dietetic and physiotherapy services and recently won the 2021 Australian Disability Service Award for Most Outstanding Allied Health Organisation. Their team provide support to over 2000 clients, most of whom will have a primary diagnosis of intellectual disability, developmental delay, autism, psychosocial disability or a neurological disorder. The core focus at Active Ability is to empower the disability community, and Amanda and Kara strongly believe that upskilling other health care professionals to provide exceptional quality services within the disability community is part of this strategy to achieving their core focus.
