C.A.S.E. - Collaborative Approach To the Science of Exercise
C.A.S.E. is a brand-new learning opportunity for our accredited exercise professionals to gain valuable experience across every aspect of the exercise intervention process.

This 1-hour session will be facilitated by an Accredited Exercise Scientist, Accredited Exercise Physiologist and a Physiotherapist to allow participants to gain a diverse range of knowledge and expertise from each professional.

These experts will showcase a client case study before fostering group discussion during the needs analysis and programming portions of the session. For you as an exercise professional it is all about ensuring you prescribe every exercise with a purpose.

We will also be providing you with a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with your peers that will provide a valuable platform to network and share experiences.

C.A.S.E will empower professionals by experiencing best practice communication and referral processes to allow you to thrive in a multidisciplinary landscape and provide the best outcomes for clients.

This session will cover:
• AES, AEPs and other Allied Health Professionals working together to manage clients with a disability
• Learn how to integrate games based learning and training to ensure your programs aren engaging
• Evidence based program development based on the individual needs of the client
• Group discussion to foster collaboration and networking

Presented by Olivia Nock, AEP AES and Savanna Bowtell-Harris, AES

Olivia Nock has been working at the Holt Bolt as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for the past 18 months, after graduating from QUT in 2018. The Holt Bolt is located in three locations in Brisbane (QLD) with the main client base being children and adults with special needs. Many of the clients treated are often children diagnosed with conditions including, but not limited to Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. The practices employ Accredited Exercise Physiologists, Accredited Exercise Scientists and personal trainers and often collaborate with other external health professionals (ie. occupational therapists, podiatrists, physiotherapists, general practitioners) to ensure each client can reach their full potential.

Savanna Bowtell-Harris graduated from ACU in 2019 and started at the Holt Bolt in the same year as an Accredited Exercise Scientist, with a majority client base of children with a disability. Growing up in a family who all played or coached soccer at some point, sparked Savanna's initial passion in wanting to help educate younger people about the importance of physical activity.

Now working at Holt Bolt, Savanna is now more specifically able to help her young clients build strength, balance, sporting skills and confidence in themselves in a safe gym like interactive environment. She loves the opportunity to train and encourage each person to find something fun that they are passionate about to do every day that helps improve their quality of life.
