ESSA professional development (PD) is facilitated by ESSA. This type of PD is formal and structured for the purpose of maintaining the knowledge and skills of ESSA professionals and generally targets key areas of practice, based on the current evidence base. CPD points and PD certificate are uploaded to your online ESSA profile within approximately 30 days of successfully completing the PD.
ESSA Learning Activities are less structured learning opportunities than ESSA PD that focus on improving practice through shared learnings. ESSA Learning Activities are available for free to ESSA members. ESSA does not upload CPD points and PD certificates for learning activities however ESSA CPD points can be claimed with a completed self-assessment tool. To claim CPD points you will be required to upload your CPD points (1 point per learning hour) and the completed self-assessment tool to your electronic logbook.
